Dick takes a turn on the club's newly acquired tractor.  Thanks to Pastor Ken for putting us in touch with one of his parishioners and for financing the necessary repair parts.  Also wish to thank John Neboda and Dick Klass for their quick action in purchasing and repairing this tractor.  This should greatly reduce the mowing time and give us the beef necessary to pull the roller to keep the field in good condition.

DO  NOT SWING OFF THE LANE TO AVOID MUD PUDDLES.

When visiting the field, do not drive off the two wheel path back to the field.  If the lane is blocked, please back up.  This field is on private property and we could lose the right to fly here if you tear up his yard.  Donnie only has one eye, so you need to get out of your vehicle and go ask politely how long it might be before he will be freeing up the lane.

Interested in joining the Whirlwinds?

If you are interested in joining our club, you can contact one of the officers, come to our next club meeting or meet us at our field. Our monthly meetings are held at 7:00pm the first Wednesday of each month (please check the meeting schedule first) at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church at 9193 Cleveland Ave. in Baroda, Michigan. The church is on the East side of the road approximately 1/4 mile South of Lemon Creek Rd. You must be (or have applied to be) a member in the AMA to join the Whirlwinds.   Our summer meetings will be held at the field unless weather forces us to meet at the church.

New to the hobby??

If you are new to the hobby and need someone to teach you to fly, contact one of our flying instructors to make an appointment. If you have a plane and gear, bring it with and the instructor can do a pre-flight check to make sure your plane is ready to fly. This one-on-one training is the safest and fastest way to learn to fly R/C aircraft.
