Flying Field Rules
General Flying
You must be a current member of the AMA to fly at this field
.A Clothespin Frequency Control System is in effect at this field. Under no circumstances is a Transmitter to be turned on for any reason without the appropriate Frequency Pin in the possession of the individual operating the transmitter.
If more than one flyer is using the same frequency, he is expected to offer the frequency to others on the same frequency after each flight
Flyers are to fly from behind the barrier line, if a flyer requires exclusive use of the runway; he is to clear his intentions with all other flyers present, i.e. testing a new aircraft, flying unique aircraft, or novice pilot. Other flyers are expected to cooperate with the requesting pilot’s needs
No more than three (3) aircraft are to be in the air at any one time. Exception: when all parties agree to exceed the limit, i.e. combat flying, Racing, Formation flying. Such flying shall be limited so as to allow other flyers ample opportunity to fly.
If a flyer or his helper is to enter the flying area for any reason, he is to alert all pilots who are in the air that he is entering the flying area. This communication is to be acknowledged before entering the flying area. Landings or touch and go's are not to be executed while anyone is on the runway. Exception: Deadstick landing, if a plane loses power and must land, the pilot is to announce his situation and attempt to avoid the person on the runway as best he can.
When starting an aircraft, the aircraft must be restrained by a mechanical device or an individual other than the person starting the aircraft. Aircraft shall not be taxied in the pit area. Running models shall be set on the ground in front of the pit line.
There shall be no flying over the pit area and no flying behind the pits.
Flight Times:
No flying before 10:00 am weekdays and Saturday
No flying before 12:00 noon on Sunday.
No flying past 9:00 pm on any evening.
NOTE: During October and November flying is permitted only on Sundays and Wednesdays
All aircraft will have some type of muffler, no open exhaust except ½ A not designed for such. A Maximum of 95 dB will be allowed at 9 ft. for up to .61 size engines. Exceptions are—on Saturdays between noon and 4:PM and on Wednesdays between 5PM and 7PM; planes that do not meet the 95 dB standard will be allowed to fly.
Per AMA rules; No Alcohol may be consumed prior to or during the operation of any aircraft
