The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President John Neboda.
The
minutes from May meeting were read.
Roll call was taken.
Treasurers report: as of 4/30/09 we have $1246.23 and have not yet paid the lease or for a Port-A-Pot.
OLD BUSINESS:
Continued discussion of purchasing a new/used mower, but lack of funds prevent us from doing so at this time. We will continue watching for a “good” deal.
We discussed having a fun fly on the last Sunday of each of the months of June, July, August. Bob will be unavailable on the weekend of the 27th. do to his impending funeral.
NEW BUSINESS:
John read over our AMA safety rules and a review of our club rules. John and Dick have planted some bushes to help mark the flight light and to help give your eye a visual clue of where to fly. John pointed those out for everyone to reference. Special note that if your plane goes down on adjacent property you must call the phone number posted on the shed and ask permission before crossing onto his property. Or you can go down and knock on the door to ask permission.
Discussion of dues assessment. As noted when dues were established for this year, that as the year progressed we would reassess and if necessary we would adjust. Due to lack of overall membership and higher field maintenance expenses, we are needing an additional $35 from each member to meet those expenses. Please pay as soon as possible.
We are happy to report that Steve Metzger was back at the field for the first time since his medical ordeal. We hope to see him flying again soon. The club voted to bestow Life Membership to Steve in recognition for his years of devotion to this club and this sport.
