Minutes for the Meeting of  June 2nd, 2010

The meeting was called to order after 7:00 by President John Nedoba. 

The minutes from the May meeting were read.

Roll call was taken. There were 13 members present.   We had one new member join tonight so  please welcome Dennis Boldt to the club.  We currently have 22 paid members.

Our current balance is 1445.18 minus 126.22 for mower repairs, plus one new membership tonight. 

 OLD BUSINESS:

We need to get some volunteers to help mow, dump trash, and other field maintenance items.    Dick has made up a sign up sheet and passed it to the members present to sign up for when they would like to mow the grass and other such maintenance items.  We will post the list on the building this spring.  Anyone else who would like to volunteer, please contact Dick Klass so he can add you to the list.  If you have any problem fulfilling your commitment, or if you have any problems with the mower, please contact Dick Klass (phone number on contacts page). 

Wil and Chuck picked up the donations from Bob so we have 4 planes and a weed eater that we will be using for our auction/raffle.  As soon as we can, I will get pictures and info and post

We had our search party the 16th and only 4 members showed up to help.

NEW BUSINESS:

We had a discussion about out of area people flying at our field.  The main concern we have is about the restrictions/problems we have with Donnie and the neighbors.  We want to develop something that they would need to read and sign before flying at our field so that we make sure they know what those are.  John and Larry will get something put together and develop a form on the website that they can fill out and print.  We also established a $40 fee for non residents with AMA and drivers license proof of identity.

MODEL OF THE MONTH:

Ken brought a micro Spitfire that he purchased from Hobby Lobby.   It was a nice package complete with 2.4 ghz transmitter and extra batteries for $60.  But he is returning because there were interference issues with two transmitters on at the same time. 

Meeting was adjourned.  Even though it was a little soggy, it was a beautiful night for flying and several members took advantage of the weather.
