Minutes for the Meeting of July 1st. , 2009
The meeting was called to order after 7:30 by President John Neboda.
The minutes from June meeting were read.
Roll call was taken. There were 11 members present. There were no guests.
Treasurer’s report: as of 6/30/09 we have $1159.16 and have not yet paid the lease. This will change with the purchase of the tractor and the sale of our old mower. Also 8 members paid their $35 assessment and one new part year membership was paid.
OLD BUSINESS:
A used tractor with mower, trailer, and scraper was purchased and our old mower has been sold. Thanks to Ken, John, and Dick Klass for finding and quickly acquiring and repairing this tractor. This should help cut down the mowing time and allow us to roll the grass more frequently to improve field conditions.
NEW BUSINESS:
Open house last Sunday was a flop. Only 4 members showed up and no guests. The notice that Dick took in to the newspaper was "lost" by them, so was never put in the paper. So no one knew anything about it. Larry and Dick are going to put together a flyer to publish on the web site and print for next open house.
We asked everyone at the meeting to call Larry on his cell phone or email
lwringer@qtm.net whenever they go to the field to give him an update on field conditions, who’s there, etc. for him to post on the web site. We are trying to make web site more useful to the members, so it would be nice to get input from the members so that you can check website before driving all the way to the field.John reported that Steve is home still recuperating. He is on trial medication that seems to be working, but his body is not liking the medicine.
