Minutes for the Meeting of September 2nd. , 2009

 

 

The meeting was called to order after 7:00 by President John Neboda. 

The minutes from August meeting were read. 

Roll call was taken. There were 12 members present. There were no guests.

Ron read the treasurers report.  We have $752.97, and $105 was collected this evening.  We have not yet paid our lease, we are still short necessary funds.  It was decided to get rid of portable toilet.  Assessments were due by tonight meeting, but 11 members have not yet paid.

OLD BUSINESS:

Dick had to replace mower deck bearing in tractor.  The tractor is now running great and is doing an excellent job.  Dick reported that there is an issue in the hydraulics that is causing the deck to lift slowly.  John thinks it is an o-ring leak, and he will look at repairing over the winter.

Last month for normal flying hours.   Remember that starting in October we have reduced flying hours to allow the neighbors to hunt on the adjacent property.  Flying will only be allowed on Wednesdays and Sundays.  We are waiting on a loader to get some free gravel to repair the potholes in the lane. 

 

NEW BUSINESS: 

John received some flyers for a swap meet in Downers Gove, IL on Sept. 26th.  If anyone is interested, contact John for more info.

John asked for ideas for winter meetings.  Pete said he’d like to see more classes on fiberglassing.  Also he would like class on soldering.  It was also suggested that we ask Brenner to give us a session on electrics, and proper wiring, charging, etc. of the lipo batteries.  Anyone having a request for a class, please contact John, or send an email thru the website.

We asked everyone at the meeting to call Larry on his cell phone or email lwringer@qtm.net whenever they go to the field to give him an update on field conditions, who’s there, etc. for him to post on the web site. We are trying to make web site more useful to the members, so it would be nice to get input from the members so that you can check website before driving all the way to the field.
